It was just yesterday that Eric told us all about a sequel to DONNIE DARKO(!). A sequel that’s been flying way under the radar and just popped up with filming set to start next week!

The sequel is titled S. DARKO and the synopsis reads: The story picks up seven years after the first film (and Donnie’s death) when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.

Today we’ve got a look at the poster for S. DARKO via Moviesonline.ca. You can scope a snippet of it above, click it to check out the whole thing.

DONNIE DARKO left me bewildered and racking my brain… and I loved it! I love movies that just b*itchslap the hell out of me and leave me questioning everything and anything. I highly doubt this sequel will go down that road… mainly because the lack of Richard Kelly.

Actually… from the synopsis and the tagline on the poster, this seems more like a second sequel to THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT. Add a bunny and it slides over to a DONNIE DARKO sequel? Who knows. Hopefully we’ll find out a lot more about S. DARKO soon. It’s directed by Chris Fisher and stars Daveigh Chase, Ed Westwick, Briana Evigan (below), and Justin Chatwin.
