Saban Films is killing it right now, in pretty much every sense of the word. Last week, they announced that they would finally be bringing us Rob Zombie's 31, and now they're bringing us Tod Williams' CELL. CELL was financed and produced by Benaroya Pictures, with additional production by The Genre Company, but now they officially have North American distribution, which means we might actually get to see it.

CELL, adapted by Stephen King and Adam Alleca from King's novel of the same name, is about:

When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users' minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (John Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected "phoners."

CELL also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman and Stacy Keach. When a release date is announced, we'll certainly let you know!
