You're probably familiar with the basic premise of MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, especially given that it follows a variation of X-Men. This time around, Jacob (Asa Butterfield) is the newcomer to Miss Peregrine's (Eva Green) Home, and in getting to know the residents and their special powers he also unravels a dangerous mystery. How about that?! Now here's a clip from the film featuring Sam Jackson on the receiving end of a . . . well, you'll see!

Ever since the first trailer for HOME hit, I've actually been cautiously optimistic about this film. The story doesn't seem to feature anything new, but it's Tim Burton in his comfort zone without his cast of usual characters, which intrigues me. This clip, however, seems very stilted and awkward. Here's Sam Jackson just carrying on this casual conversation while getting blown so hard (tee hee hee) that he's trapped up against a wall. Doesn't work for me, but I'm not ready to write off the film just yet.

MISS PREREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN opens on September 30, 2016.
