This news bit kind of just drifted under my nose today and it immediately grabbed hold of my interest and hasn’t let go yet! I’m talking about a flick called DEATHGAMES! Ready for the gory details?!
The guys over at the Heat Vision blog are dropping word today that Motion Picture Corporation of America are planning on throwing an indie action flick together that’ll star Samuel L. Jackson and Kellan Lutz! That flick is DEATHGAMES! Visual effects supervisor Jonah Loop will be making his directorial debut with DEATHGAMES based on a script by himself, Michael Hultquist, Robert Martinez and Tony Giglio. Here’s the skinny:
The story centers on a young man who is kidnapped and forced into the savage world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for entertainment of the online masses. Another man orchestrates the games, overseeing them from his computer lair with the help of twin ladies who see to his every desire.
Lutz will play the young man introduced to this insane world while Jackson steps in as the mastermind behind it all with the twin ladies. Lucky bastard. So what do you guys think? I know Lutz really hasn’t proven much but this flick sounds like it’ll be so much fun that it won’t matter! DEATHGAMES is already set to start shooting next month in Louisiana.
