San Andreas’ Brad Peyton to helm high concept military action film for Sony

A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that director Brad Peyton will be reuniting with his SAN ANDREAS star Dwayne Johnson for a big screen version of the video game Rampage, and now THR has learned Peyton is also set to helm a currently untitled movie for Sony.

There's no plot or character details yet, however THR describes the project as a "high-concept action-adventure film about a military team," and it was written by IRON MAN and PUNISHER: WAR ZONE scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who are also working on TRANSFORMERS 5 for Paramount.

Brad Peyton is expected to begin shooting RAMPAGE next year after Dwayne Johnson is finished filming for FAST & FURIOUS 8, so Peyton will likely either start principal photography on the Sony flick while Johnson is doing his F&F stuff, or once they are done with the video game adaptation. Which actors would you like to see play the members of the military team?

SAN ANDREAS will be released on Blu-ray/DVD on October 13, 2015.
