Coming Soon! reports that after sitting on the shelf for nearly two years, David Steiman’s SANTA’S SLAY is finally being released by the good folks at Lions Gate Home Entertainment. The movie starring ex-WWE wrestler Bill Goldberg will debut on Spike TV this fall and will go DTV afterwards.
In the film, Santa Claus (Goldberg, who is actually Jewish) turns out to actually be the son of Satan, and not the harmless old fellow we know and love. Santa’s bad side has only been kept in check because of an ancient pact with an angel.Now, on Christmas Eve, the deal expires, and Santa snaps. Nicholas Yuleson (Douglas Smith) discovers the terrifying truth about Santa from his grandfather (Robert Culp), and it’s up to him to stop Santa’s deadly rampage in their small town. With the help of his spunky girlfriend Mac (Emilie de Ravin), Nicholas must take on Santa in order to try to restore peace on Earth for another thousand years.
