Susan Sarandon and Peirce Brosnan are looking to star in writer/director Shana Feste’s directorial debut THE GREATEST. They’ll play a married couple who find it increasingly difficult to grieve the loss of their teenage son when a young girl comes around to stir the pot, as it were. (Not that cooking is a central theme of the film or anything, though it’s likely there will be cooking in the film at some point. Probably.) Production is expected to begin this summer. Sarandon is currently denying any association with the Wachowski Bros. kaleidoscope orgy SPEED RACER (they CGI’ed her into the film, those bastards!) and can next be seen in the Peter Jackson directed drama THE LOVELY BONES. Brosnan can next be seen singing and dancing his Abba loving heart out alongside Meryl Streep in the musical MAMMA MIA! and will soon start filming on the sequel THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR 2.
