Here’s something new that I don’t think has ever been done for the promotion of a movie, that being horror or any other kind. In preparation for SAW III and the SAW III soundtrack, there’s to be a concert held that showcases the music from the film called ‘A Musical Evening Inspired by SAW III’!
The show’s to be held at the Webster Hall in New York City, and will feature HELMET, and The Smashup (among others), playing the music that made it on the soundtrack, as well as other songs… inspired by the film. Sound groovy? But wait, it gets better!
The event is hosted by Shawnee Smith herself, with other stars of the series set to make an appearance as well. Yup, if you’re a SAW junkie, this event is for YOU. And yet, there’s even more! An exhibit of props from the series, including the ‘Billie’ puppet, torture devices, headgear and other set pieces are to be on display. Now how cool does this sound? Rockin’ music, Shawnee Smith and torture devices used in the film? Makes that trip to New York I keep putting off seem like a good idea just about now…
