Saw VII 3-D release date

With what’s become as a predictable calendar marker as Halloween itself, Twisted Pictures has announced that, despite relatively paltry returns on a 6th edition, SAW VII will be slated for an October 22, 2010 release date. And will be done so in 3 dimensions!

Writers of part 6, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, will reprise such duties on the new edition, and David Hackl (director of SAW V) will once again spit through the mega-phone.

Save for Costas Mandylor (who played Hoffman in SAW III onward), no further casting details have surfaced, but I think everyone would be shocked if creators didn’t find a way to rope Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) back in for some sadistic flashback action. Oh, and I’ll personally be heartbroken if my girl Shawnee Smith doesn’t pop back up.

But what do you all think? You all SAW-ed out? Or are you actually digging the notion of a 3-D entry? Vent baby, vent!
