Saw X reaches PVOD this weekend, 4K, Blu-ray, DVD release follows next month

Saw X will be reaching PVOD this weekend and the physical media 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release will arrive next month

Saw X, the tenth entry in the Saw franchise, is currently in theatres (you can read our review HERE) – and this weekend, it’s going to be invading our homes. Lionsgate has announced that Saw X will be receiving a Premium Video on Demand (or PVOD) and Premium Electronic Sell-Through release this Friday, October 20th. A 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital release will follow on November 21st.

According to a press release, “The 4K transfer for Saw X features Jigsaw’s highly anticipated return in eye-exploding HDR10, along with a terror-inducing Dolby Atmos audio mix. Special features include a multipart “making of” documentary called Reawakening, over a dozen deleted scenes, and more, totaling over three hours of bonus material.

Directed by Kevin Greutert, who previously directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter (and also edited the first five films, plus Jigsaw), from a screenplay that was written by Jigsaw and Spiral: From the Book of Saw screenwriters Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, Saw X has the following synopsis: In the Twisted Pictures next installment John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back, and it’s the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. The infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.

Tobin Bell reprises the role of John Kramer / Jigsaw and is joined in the cast by Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman), Michael Beach (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Renata Vaca (Pedal to Medal), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z), Octavio Hinojosa (How to Survive Being Single), and Jorge Briseño (A Million Miles Away), with Shawnee Smith returning as Jigsaw’s protégé Amanda Young.
