Say goodbye to this new Under the Dome promo

June 24 will see the premiere of CBS’ highly anticipated series “Under the Dome”, which adapts the plot of the 2009 Stephen King novel with a few modifications to keep the story in line as a recurring summer series. The latest promo spot for the effort comes in a bit short, but offers the most tantalizing look “Under the Dome” that we’ve seen thus far, allowing us to get up close and personal with the titular phenomenon.

Written by “LOST” scribe Brian K. Vaughan and with original GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO helmer Niels Arden Oplev directing, “Under the Dome” follows the book of the same name, focusing on…

a small New England town that finds itself inexplicably encased in a transparent dome with no hope of penetration. Inside, the residents of the town battle increasingly apocalyptic conditions as they struggle to understand what’s happened to them.”
