Sometimes you see a story that kicks you right in the ass. Like when you have a cool as butt concept for a screenplay, find yourself in the midst of outlining it, and then discover that Lifetime is developing a series with a similar gambit.

I mean, I don’t mind the similar idea thing, ’cause there are plenty of differences to be exploited, but c’mon! Lifetime! What the hell are they getting into genre work for anyway?
Series title is SCARLETT and features an Anne Rice-like author who thinks her characters are starting to come to life. Casting isn’t set, but I nominate Christina Ricci or Asia Argento.
Outside of that all I can say is…f*cking Lifetime.
