Scorsese & DiCaprio team for H. H. Holmes series Devil in the White City

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Like most people on this here planet Earth, I'm a big fan of both Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. Especially when they team up. From flicks like GANGS OF NEW YORK, THE DEPARTED, and THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, when Scorsese and DiCaprio team up it usually results in some must-see drama. And guess what? Their next team up has just been announced and it looks like it's going to be a horror-thriller!

Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese will executive produce DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY, a series based on the book “The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America” by Erik Larson for Hulu. The story follows notorious serial killer Henry H. Holmes who fashioned his own pharmaceutical “Murder Castle” on the fairgrounds of The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893.

More specifically, The Devil in the White City tells:

The true story of two men, an architect and a serial killer, whose fates were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893: Daniel H. Burnham, a brilliant and fastidious architect racing to mark his mark on the world and Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning doctor who fashioned his own pharmaceutical “Murder Castle” on the fairgrounds.

There isn't currently word on whether or not DiCaprio will star in the series and/or Scorsese will direct any of the episodes. But we can all hope, right? Yes, we can. And yes, we are going to. Whatever ends up happening with this new series, we will make sure to pass along word ASAP.

Stacey Sher, Rick Yorn, Emma Koskoff, and Jennifer Davisson will executive produce the series along with Scorsese and DiCaprio. Paramount Television will produce. Are you excited for this new series? Let us know below! Have you read the book yet? If not, snag a copy RIGHT HERE.
