Scout Taylor-Compton says she’ll be in Halloween 3 – would you be down?

Hope you’ve got a grain of salt with you, because you’ll definitely need it for this bit of news.

We’re all going cuckoo with the revelation that HALLOWEEN 3 is moving forward, even though we have no idea how close it is to actually happening. Certainly, it seems clear it’s in the development stage, and it’s probable that a writer is on board, but mostly all we can do is speculate as to the details.

And it’s not only the horror site writers who are weighing in. Scout Taylor-Compton – who played Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie’s two HALLOWEEN films – took to her Twitter to claim she’ll be returning for the third go-round.

Do with that what you will. Is she just assuming she’ll be back? Does she have solid intel suggesting she is indeed returning to square off against her bad bro? My gut tells me it’s the former, but who knows – maybe Scout has a reliable source. (Hey, perhaps it’s Rob Zombie himself!)

But here’s what we wanted to ask you, the readers and HALLOWEEN fans: If Scout is indeed returning as Laurie Strode, would you be pleased with the news? Or are you hoping the franchise starts fresh, with either a new actress in the role, or the role dismissed altogether? Weigh in below!
