Back in January, Amazon started taking pre-orders for the physical media releases of the new Scream movie (read our review HERE). The DVD can be pre-ordered HERE, you can get the Blu-ray HERE, and the 4K UHD disc is HERE. At the time, we didn’t know the release date for the discs or what the bonus features would be – but now we do. The release date for the DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K versions of the new Scream is April 5th.

Special features include:

Filmmaker Commentary – the directors, writers, and filmmakers reveal the unwritten rules for surviving this genre-busting horror movie.

Bloodlines – catch up with Scream stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette for a deep dive into their characters and why they came back for a fresh stab at their favorite horror franchise.

New Blood – meet the new generation of Woodsboro victims and potential killers.

In the Shadow of the Master – the cast honor movie maestro Wes Craven and look back on his incredible legacy as the director who redefined horror.

Deleted Scenes – They’re back from the dead: see the scenes slashed from the movie.

Scream (2022) will also be receiving a double feature release where it’s packaged with the original Scream from 1996. You can get the double feature on Blu-ray HERE and on 4K UHD at THIS LINK. If you don’t want to wait a month, the 4K UHD digital version is available right now and can be purchased at THIS LINK.

The new Scream is a “legacy-quel” or “requel” from Ready or Not (watch it HERE) directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt also produced the film for Project X Entertainment, alongside Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena serve as executive producers alongside original Scream writer Kevin Williamson.

The film has the following synopsis:

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.

You can read our set visit interview with the directors at THIS LINK, and our set visit interview with cast members HERE.

Returning franchise stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette are joined in the cast by Scream 4‘s Marley Shelton and franchise newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Kyle Gallner, and Sonia Ammar.
