Scream 6 image sends knife-wielding Ghostface after another victim

Ghostface has a knife in hand and appears to be after another potential victim in the latest image from Scream 6

The folks at IGN got their hands on a new image from the upcoming slasher sequel Scream 6 today, and you can take a look at the image – which shows the knife-wielding Ghostface, who appears to have just ripped through a screen so they can chase after another potential victim – at the bottom of this article. IGN also got some new quotes from directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (who also directed Scream 2022), and you can read those on their site.

Scream 6 is set to reach theatres on March 10th.

Scripted by Scream 2022 writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, this one will show us what happens when the four survivors of the Ghostface killings leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.

Those four survivors are the Scream 2022 characters played by Melissa Barrera (as Samantha Carpenter), Jenna Ortega (as Samantha’s sister Tara Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (as Mindy Meeks-Martin), and Mason Gooding (as Mindy’s brother Chad Meeks-Martin). They attempt to “start a fresh chapter” in New York City – but while Scream 6 is set in New York, it was filmed in Montreal.

Also in the cast are Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere (as Kirby Reed), franchise regular Courteney Cox (as Gale Weathers), and new additions Jack Champion as Ethan, Liana Liberato as Quinn, Devyn Nekoda as Anika, Josh Segarra as Danny, Samara Weaving as Laura, Tony Revolori as Jason, and Dermot Mulroney as Detective Bailey. Henry Czerny is in there as well, in an unspecified role.

Not in the cast is Neve Campbell, who was asked to reprise the role of franchise heroine Sidney Prescott in Scream 6, but passed on it due to a pay dispute.

Vanderbilt is producing Scream 6 with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak for Project X Entertainment. Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Willamson serves as executive producer alongside Chad Villella, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.
