Any of you guys hear about a South African serial killer novel trilogy from Deon Meyer? No? Well that’s alright, I’m about to tell you all about it.
Apparently there’s a flick heading our way based on Deon Meyer’s serial killer novel DEVIL’S PEAK and none other than Sean Bean has just been cast in the lead role, or so says Variety. Bean will be playing Detective Benny Griessel, the protagonist of the thriller series, which also includes 13 HOURS and 7 DAYS along with DEVIL’S PEAK.

Sounds solid enough, right? Michael S. Murphey is producing through his Kalahari Pictures banner along with Malcolm Kohll and Ofir Kedar. Hersch Klaff, Robbie Little and Robert Fig are executive producing with Little’s Little Film Co. banner handling international sales for DEVIL’S PEAK, which will be introduced at Cannes.
Plans are to start filming DEVIL’S PEAK this September in Cape Town, South Africa.
