See Mulder ask Scully a question in the new X-Files teaser

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The new teaser for Fox's upcoming six episode revival of THE X-FILES starts very much like the teaser that came out last week, with a lot of the same imagery. The difference comes in the ending, which features an exchange of dialogue between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Mulder asks Scully a question, she responds, and… I can't help it, but because of the question Mulder asks, a sporting event song by 2 Unlimited then starts playing in my head. Y'all ready for this?

Duchovny and Anderson aren't the only actors returning  from the initial 1993 – 2002 run of THE X-FILES. William B. Davis, Mitch Pileggi, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, and Dean Haglund are back as well, and will be mixing it up with a new cast of characters played by Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani.

This new run of THE X-FILES is set to premiere on Sunday, January 24, 2016, with the following episode:

"My Struggle" centers on Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigating Annet Mahendru's character, who is believed to be a "possible alien abductee," according to Joel McHale's character, a conservative talk show host who gives Mulder and Scully the tip to investigate her.

The second episode will then air the next night, establishing the show's regular timeslot of Mondays at 8pm EST.
