Perfect casting indeed, as Emmy Rossum is among the most stunning of BEAUTIFUL CREATURES

Y’all recall the Richard LaGravenese romantic-horror yarn called BEAUTIFUL CREATURES we’ve been keeping you abreast of? You know, the one set to star Viola Davis and Emma Thompson? Well, the lovely Ms. Rossum (pictured) has just tossed her hat in the ring…

No details for Emmy’s part were given, as she’s only in final negotiations to star. Still, taking the time out from her hit Showtime series “Shameless” could be wise for Rossum…not only in terms of exposure, but to avoid any sort of pigeonholing as well. I’ve seen many episodes of the show and can opine with knowledge the shite wouldn’t work without the sexy vulnerability of Rossum’s Fiona. Chick rocks it!

Based on the bestselling novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl:

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES is set in the South about two star-crossed teenage lovers – a local boy, and a mysterious new girl who uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town.

The flick comes out February 1, 2013.
