Sharkula trailer: Wild Eye Releasing sets loose a vampire shark in June

When we shared the trailer for legendary indie director Mark Polonia’s movie Amityville in Space last week, we provided a list of some of his previous credits – and mentioned that one of his movies is the vampire shark tale Sharkula. Now we’ve gotten our hands on the trailer for Sharkula as well, and you can check it out in the embed above. Wild Eye Releasing will be putting Sharkula out into the world sometime in June.

Sharkula tells the following story:

The curse of Count Dracula lives on in shark-infested waters, claiming the lives of a tourist community. A sea hunt for the new species results in monsters, madness, and bloodshed. This great white is putting the bite back into terror, and it has help with the aid of new vampires intent on seeing it survive.

The film stars Kyle Rappaport (Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High Aka Vol. 2) as Renfield and Jeff Kirkendall (Return to Splatter Farm) as Count Dracula.

Previous shark movies from Polonia include Sharkenstein, Noah’s Shark, and Amityville Island. His most well-known movie may still be 1987’s Splatter Farm. Some of his other credits include Lethal Nightmare, How to Slay a Vampire, Feeders, The House That Screamed, Holla If I Kill You, Peter Rottentail, Preylien: Alien Predators, HalloweeNight, Empire of the Apes, Revolt of the Empire of the Apes, Invasion of the Empire of the Apes, Chainsaw Killer, Sharkenstein, Land Shark, Shark Encounters of the Third Kind, Virus Shark, Jurassic Shark 2: Aquapocalypse, Bigfoot vs. Zombies, Jurassic Prey, Camp Blood: First Slaughter, Ghost of Camp Blood, Camp Blood Kills, Children of Camp Blood, Dune World, Amityville Death House, and Amityville Exorcism.
