Shawnee in Saw V

Well this isn’t much of a surprise, because at this point, we know how the SAW franchise works. Doesn’t matter if you’re dead, you’d better be available to shoot some flashbacks!

Although that may not be the case with Shawnee Smith in regards to SAW V. According to an interview she did with Popwrap (?), the actress may only be appearing in previously-filmed scenes.

Here’s what Shawnee said after being asked if she’s in the fifth film: “I’m not sure how they keep resurrecting me, but somehow! If I’m in “Saw V,” it’s something I’d already filmed, but I have no idea. This is horror, you’re more valuable dead than alive.”

Pardon me for being a little dubious. I certainly wouldn’t put it passed the SAW guys to throw in some new Amanda material, hopefully shedding some light on the Jigsaw-Amanda-Hoffman triumvirate of evil. Guess we’ll find out on OCTOBER 24.
