Sheridan’s greenlit House

According to Variety there are three films nearing the ‘greenlight’ status over at Morgan Creek: a Sci-Fi flick starring Keanu Reeves, a crime drama from Antoine Fuqua, and a little horror thriller from director Jim Sheridan called DREAM HOUSE.

Obviously we’re focused on DREAM HOUSE, which starts out sounding something like THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, without the haunting… check it out: a family moves to a small town in Connecticut and learns that a mother and her two young children had been killed in their home. The killings were believed to be at the hands of the husband, who survived and may now be a threat to the new residents.

Whoa, now that’s kind of f*cked up, not to mention way scarier than some lame attempt at a haunted ghost story. The potential for this to be rockin’ is up there, and considering Sheridan is the dude behind THE BOXER, IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, and GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN’, I’d say he has as good of a chance as any to pull this sucker off.

No word on casting at this point, mostly because the film is ‘nearing a green light’ and not officially given the go-ahead… yet. Once the light is green, it’ll be full speed ahead and we should hear some cast soon. Stick around for it!
