Showtime releases trailer for Scout Taylor-Compton thriller Abducted

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Writer/director Prince Bagdasarian's new film ABDUCTED has been making the festival rounds, and now it's set to be released exclusively on Showtime Networks. It will be available for on-demand viewing as of March 1st. In anticipation of the film's release, a trailer has arrived online and can be seen above.

Described as a "fierce action thriller", ABDUCTED stars HALLOWEEN's Scout Taylor-Compton as Detective Fini, who is tasked with investigating the kidnapping of a seven-year-old girl named Eden. (Some readers may remember that we previously covered this film when it was going by the title DIVERTED EDEN.)

In the cast with Taylor-Compton are Michael Urie, Najarra Townsend, Betty Gabriel, Ken Davitian, and Daniel Joseph.

ABDUCTED has the following synopsis:

Still deeply saddened his wife's death, Dane, a U.S. military veteran, works as a truck driver to support his young daughter Eden, while his brother-in-law looks after the child. When his daughter is kidnapped and the police come up empty, Dane decides to take matters into his own hands in a heart-pounding race against the clock to save the girl and serve justice to the kidnappers.

The film was produced by Shirley Kim of Imaginating Pictures.

The involvement of Taylor-Compton is always enough to get me interested in a project, and the trailer for this one looks cool. If you have Showtime, keep an eye out for ABDUCTED next month.
