Sideshow slashes TF ’06

With news that pretty much confirms the return of hockey-puss to the big screen, Sideshow drops a bombshell of its own at Toy Fair.

Seeing as how this new FRIDAY film will be the origin of Jason, it’s ironic that Sideshow chose to bring us Jason in PART 4 mode, which was the ‘end’ of Jason. Ah well, at least this figure almost completes the entire set (though I don’t expect a PART 8 Jason anytime soon). There’s no word yet on what will be included for accessories (or exclusives) this time around, but you can at least be sure that the mask comes off. Perhaps we’ll get a mini Corey Feldman character with machete chopping action? Or Jason’s head featuring a deathblow-by-machete-plowing-into-the-side-of-yer-noggin action? We’ll have to wait to find out. At least Sideshow did up a cool teaser pic. Click here and sign up for the newsletter to let you know when the figure’s available.

Still with Sideshow on this one, they’ve teamed up with the masters at Stan Winston Studios to bring us a 1:1 scale Alien Warrior Head from ALIENS. The head will be made of high-quality fiberglass, features a removable tentacle for packaging purposes and will ship in the third quarter of 2006. This puppy sets you back $999, so save up your empties!
