Sigma Protocol director

Amnesiac superspy Jason Bourne might be taking a rest (for the moment), but Universal is putting another Robert Ludlum creation in the pipe.

The author’s “final” novel THE SIGMA PROTOCOL is coming to life, courtesy of Jose Padilha. The award-winning director came to Hollywood’s attention with his nihilistic ELITE SQUAD, an acclaimed action-drama about Rio de Janeiro’s anti-drug police unit.

IRON MAN co-writers Matt Holloway and Art Marcum are adapting the international conspiracy tale, about a banker who inadvertently becomes entangled in a “new world order” plot by a mysterious consortium founded in WWII. The story also involves assassins, a beautiful government agent, lots of globetrotting, and probably some shaky-cam.
