I mentioned a few weeks ago that the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game DEAD BY DAYLIGHT would be revealing a new licensed character to the game for its fourth anniversary. Now, originally the game began with all original characters, but it has slowly amassed a lot of licensed monsters to play in the last few years, including Michael Myers from HALLOWEEN, Leatherface from TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and Ghostface from SCREAM. Now we finally know who the new monster will be, and it's none other than…Pyramid Head from the SILENT HILL games (who is credited as "The Executioner" for some reason)!
Not only that, but SILENT HILL 3 protagonist Cheryl Mason will also be playable as a human character (as asymmetrical games require an over-powered player to stalk and kill four other, de-powered human survivors). It will also have a new map to play in, the MIDWICH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL from the first SILENT HILL game!
Honestly, that's pretty cool, as I'm a huge fan of SILENT HILL (and even argued it's the basis for one of the only great videogame movies). It's also the first videogame horror character to be introduced in the DEAD BY DAWN game, as the others are either from movies or TV shows (in the case of the Demogorgon from STRANGER THINGS).
Meanwhile, the SILENT HILL characters and map are available as DEAD BY DAWN DLC for consoles and PC right now. So what do you guys think? And what other videogame monsters do you think would be cool to introduce in game? Either way, sound off below!
