Producer Joel Silver recently held a press conference for his latest film, WHITEOUT. Of course, no one there actually wanted to talk about WHITEOUT, so questions were directed toward his potential next projects. The “big” announcement? SWAMP THING. In 3D!
“I’m developing a picture now that I’d like to do…I’ll hopefully do Swamp Thing, which is a movie we’ve had for a long time. We think that would be great to do in 3D. There are a couple of projects I’m thinking about (for the format) but not everything.”
Yeah, yeah. Another remake, grumble grumble. But it’s a horror film, it’s in 3D and therefore it will make money. I fully expect a CGI mess or Tyler Mane in some awful costume, but I’ll be damned if I’m not bringing a first date to it. Damn you 3D horror movies and your surefire promise of arm grabbing!
