SciFi Wire chatted with Bryan Singer recently and and got some interesting news. The man behind X-MEN and THE USUAL SUSPECTS is looking to develop horror properties once he finishes with SUPERMAN RETURNS.
Singer had this to say, “I’m also acquiring other properties for movies. I’m looking to produce some films. I’m looking at the prospect of producing some horror films.”
It’s always good news when creative power players get involved in the genre, although I’m starting to suspect that many producers turn to horror as a quick money-maker to finance other projects, rather than doing it for the love. Ah well, at least it continues to thrive, even if fans don’t always dig the result.
