Not all of you are likely excited about SINISTER 2's impending release, but even you naysayers will have to admit this is pretty cool.

Gramercy Pictures has announced “Sinister Weekends,” a midnight screenings program across the country to connect “Sinister” fans with the franchise’s haunting inspirations including THE RING, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD– all leading up to this month’s release of the SINISTER sequel.

August 8 and 9, 2015 – THE RING – On August 8 and 9, “Sinister Weekends” showcases “The Ring.” Gore Verbinksi’s visual masterpiece unnerved “Sinister” co-creator and writer C. Robert Cargill, who credits this movie with causing a nightmare which would serve as the inspiration for the “Sinister” franchise.

August 15 and 16, 2015 – THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD – Sinister 2 director Ciarán  Foy presents three of his personal favorites (“The Devil’s Backbone,” “Let the Right One In,” “Night of the Living Dead”) for “Sinister Weekends” dates August 15 and 16. The trio of diverse and iconic titles speaks to the robust cinematic vocabulary which Foy brings to the franchise.

August 22 and 23, 2015 – SINISTER – On opening weekend for Sinister 2, “Sinister Weekends” will stoke fans’ anticipation with special midnight screenings of the original “Sinister.”
