Sink your fangs into the date for The Strain’s fourth and final season debut

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

You might want to get your hands on a crucifix and order yourself a large pie with extra garlic for the evening of July 16, 2017, when FX unleashes the premiere of THE STRAIN's fourth and final season.

Based off of the best-selling The Strain Trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, Season 4 picks up nine months after the events of Season 3, with the world having fallen into disarray and darkness after the strigoi gained control following the explosion that triggered a global nuclear apocalypse. Now, the resulting nuclear winter has liberated the strigoi, permitting them to move about during the daylight hours and allowing the Master to establish a totalitarian regime. Praying on the fears of whoever's left, the Master and his minions have created an unsettling alliance in "the Partnership." Now, the majority of humans work for the strigoi, obeying their every command with one goal in mind – adapt or die.

The cast of THE STRAIN includes Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Jonathan Hyde, Kevin Durand, Ruta Gedmintas, Miguel Gomez, Richard Sammel, Max Charles and Rupert Penry-Jones.

Tune into FX on July 16, 2017 and drain all the frightful fun out of THE STRAIN before the series offerings are all dried up.
