Slumber Party Massacre remake Blu-ray, DVD release coming in February

Director Danishka Esterhazy’s Slumber Party Massacre, a remake of the 1982 cult classic The Slumber Party Massacre (watch it HERE), received a digital release back in October, soon after it had its premiere on Syfy, and you can rent or buy it at THIS LINK… but if you’re like me, it’s more important to hear when a movie is going to get a physical media release. Thankfully, Scream Factory has just announced that they’re bringing a Slumber Party Massacre remake Blu-ray and DVD to us on February 1st, and they’re already accepting pre-orders.

Written by Suzanne Keilly (Leprechaun Returns), this Slumber Party Massacre has the following synopsis:

When a quartet of friends heads from L.A. to an isolated cabin for a getaway, they encounter a few uninvited guests. But someone has an axe – and a few other sharp implements – to grind, and soon, an evening meant for fun and games descends into a night of chaos and fear.

The film stars Frances Sholto-Douglas, Jane de Wet, Alex McGregor, Nathan Castle, Masali Baduza, Schelaine Bennett, Arthur Falko, Hannah Gonera, Michael Lawrence Potter, Richard White, Rob van Vuuren, Jennifer Steyn, Richard Wright-Firth, Reem Koussa, Larissa Crafford-Lazarus, Mila Rayne, Dean Goldblum, and Reze-Tiana Wessels.

The new Slumber Party Massacre was produced in partnership with Blue Ice Pictures. Bob Emmer, Garson Foos, Jordan Fields, and Brent Haynes served as executive producers.

The physical media release will include the following bonus features:

Our own Alex Maidy gave the new Slumber Party Massacre an 8/10 review you can read HERE – and I would probably give the film the same rating. I had a lot of fun watching it and will definitely be adding a copy to my collection alongside the first three films.
