Of his previous work, director Danny Boyle’s acclaimed new romance/drama SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE looks a bit closer in tone to MILLIONS than, say, 28 DAYS LATER. But he’s the rare director who can hit the target in just about any genre.
The movie revolves around an Indian teen who goes on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” to get the attention of the gorgeous love of his life, and ends up winning mad stacks. But then he’s accused of cheating, which sucks. Though you probably wouldn’t know from the new trailer, Boyle’s film uses a unique structure to tell the youngster’s story.
