Back in October it was announced that the deadly EVIL DEAD tandem of Sam Raimi and Fede Alvarez were going to put their heads together for another bout with the horror genre in a film called A MAN IN THE DARK. Who is this man in the dark? I don’t know and I don’t care because I’m watching this shit regardless. Alvarez came out swinging with his remake of EVIL DEAD and I can't wait to see what he does with something original that he can truly call his own, especially with a cool sounding psycho-thriller like this one.
Sony Pictures has picked up the worldwide distribution rights to the duo’s new thriller from Ghost House Pictures, reports Variety. "We’re thrilled to be in business again with the creative team behind ‘Evil Dead,’ and to back Fede on his next picture,” said Steve Bersch, SPWA President. “He and Rodo [Sayagues] have crafted a screenplay that keeps you on the edge of your seat and we look forward to bringing the movie to audiences worldwide.”
