SOTA does Lovecraft

I’ve never read any of H.P. Lovecraft’s stuff (though I have seen RE-ANIMATOR, which is sort of like reading it). From what I’ve heard, it’s pretty messed up, to say the least. Now, thanks to SOTA, we’ll see just how messed up it is.

SOTA, the folks behind the very promising Now Playing line of figures (including one of my faves, Darkman), have nearly completed work on their next series of that line, as well as work on the new Nightmares of Lovecraft line, which really does exemplify the meaning of the word ‘disturbing’. The first 3 figures of the series have already been announced: C’thulhu from ‘The Call of C’thulhu’, The Ghoul from ‘Pickman’s Model’ and Dagon from ‘Shadow Over Insmouth.’

Over at Action-Figure, they’ve posted a huge number of pictures of The Ghoul, as well as C’thulhu. Click here for shots of C’thulhu, and here for shots of The Ghoul. The Nightmares of Lovecraft line arrives in stores late 2005.

You are one, ulgy... motherf**ker!!
