Spin Me Round trailer finds Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza trapped in Italy on a work trip gone bad

IFC Films and AMC+’s Spin Me Round trailer has Alison Brie unsure if she’s heading toward a ménage à trois or murder. Directed and co-written by Jeff Baena with Alison Brie, Spin Me Round revolves around a woman (Brie) who wins an all-expenses trip to a company’s gorgeous “institute” outside of Florence and a chance to meet the restaurant chain’s wealthy and charismatic owner. As events unfold, she finds a different adventure than she imagined.

The Spin Me Round trailer starts innocently enough. Still, before long, Brie’s character finds herself trapped between her charming boss, his wily assistant, unpredictable co-workers, and abnormal behavior in a foreign land. As she straddles this unique trip’s sexy and seductive twists and turns, she wonders if she signed on for more than she can handle.

In addition to Alison Brie, the film also stars Aubrey Plaza, Tricia Helfer, Debby Ryan, Alessandro Nivola, Fred Armisen, Molly Shannon, Zach Woods, Ayden Mayeri, Lil Rel Howery, Jake Picking, and Lauren Weedman.

“I really admire Jeff’s commitment to telling unique, character-driven stories,” says Brie in a statement provided to People. “There is a great creative freedom that comes with collaborating with him.”

She adds, “And I can think of no better place to explore the beauty and complexity of the human experience than in the stunning Italian countryside.”

Spin Me Round is the third film directed by Baena (Plaza’s husband) that Plaza and Brie have starred together in, after 2016’s Joshy and 2017’s The Little Hours. They share tremendous chemistry on-screen and are not afraid to get personal when the job calls for it.

Spin Me Round premieres on August 19 in theaters, on Video, On Demand, and AMC+.
