Are you looking forward to Vincenzo Natali’s SPLICE? Of course you are! The flick looks like one hell of a mindtrip! I mean seriously… what the f*ck is going on in this thing? Here’s the synopsis:
Elsa (Sarah Polley, below) and Clive (Adrien Brody), two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named “Dren”, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators – only to have that bond turn deadly.
Man… that’s pretty trippy. I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m definitely interested in checking this shite out. A creature created from human and animal DNA? And as you can see above the thing is pretty creepy looking. Anyway enough about the film, I’m here to tell you about the director’s new blog! That’s right, Vincenzo Natali has gone ahead and started a blog over at Twitch Film to keep us updated with what’s going on during a little thing called Sundance.
