Square Enix partners up with Marvel to deliver new Avengers game plus teaser

For those gamers wondering where all the sweet Marvel games are depicting our greatest heroes and villains in combat, we have some great news today! Marvel Entertainment has announced a partnership with Square Enix, bringing the first in what’s sure to be a series of Marvel games to life. The following teaser video mentions both Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) and Eidos Montreal (Deux Ex: Mankind Divided, Thief), so take a look!

Square Enix press release:

The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.

As you can see, it looks like Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America are in for a rough time in whatever this initial game will deliver. Given that AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is set to hit on May 4, 2018, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game hit after that. Until then, here’s hoping they deliver on the fun that Ultimate Alliance did!
