Stan Lee to appear in a “big role” on upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

We’ve seen the legendary Stan Lee, creator/co-creator of a laundry list of Marvel heroes and villains, appear in the various Marvel films from all different studios and now he’s making the leap into Marvel’s TV world with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Lee will have a “big role” in an upcoming episode of the series, which is likely to air on February 4th (although subject to change). Lee is no stranger to television, having appeared on Stan Lee‘s Who Wants To Be A Superhero? and Stan Lee‘s Superhumans, as well as voice work on numerous animated shows and guest appearances on various non-Marvel related shows, but this is his first acting gig within the live-action Marvel TV world.

Here’s Lee with the S.H.I.E.L.D. cast:

Stan “the man” Lee is also set to headline the new animated series Stan Lee‘s Mighty 7, which features the voice talents of Armie Hammer, Teri Hatcher, Christian Slater, Mayim Bialik, Flea, Darren Criss, Jim Belushi and Sean Astin, which looks a bit amusing. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn’t exactly been tearing it up in the ratings department, but with the promise of more reveals (including why Agent Coulson is still alive) and cameos coupled with a fairly strong fanbase, the show could very well pull out of the flames if they play their cards right.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC
