Stephen King has seen IT! What did he think?!

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Other than my own opinion, the only person's opinion I genuinely care about in regards to the new adaptation of Stephen King's magnum opus of terror IT, is, well… Stephen King!

If Stephen King gives the flick the okay, then that pretty much seals the deal, and we can all breathe easy and label the new flick a modern classic. But we still won't know 100% for sure until this September when the clown finally crawls from the sewer… Until then, we have some feedback on the film from IT producer, Seth Grahame-Smith.

Seth Grahame-Smith took took to Instagram this weekend and posted this bit from the Stephen King forum:

Steve asked me to pass along that he saw a screening of IT today and wanted to let everybody know that they should stop worrying about it as the producers have done a wonderful job with the production.

That's f*cking awesome… if it's true… I don't mean to be a downer here, but if we know anything about Stephen King (at least the modern version of King) it's that the guy is FOREVER on Twitter. But you guys already know that because you're modern horror fans, like me, so it's kind of a requirement to follow him.

Anyways, ever the optimist, I will take this with a grain of salt and keep myself busying (somehow) throughout the next few months so that I don't spend all my days until September 8, standing in front of my local multiplex, wandering up to the window every half-hour and causally asking it IT has been released yet.

IT synopsis:

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

STEPHEN KING'S IT is directed by Andres Muschietti, and stars Bill Skarsgard stars as Pennywise, and Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as the Losers’ Club.

I can die now. Goodbye. I'm dead. 🎈
