Steve Carell leads a reunion of sorts in the first full trailer for Netflix's Space Force, a new comedy that reunites Carell with Greg Daniels. his co-worker on The Office.
Carell stars as four-star general Mark R. Naird, a decorated pilot that dreams of running the Air Force. Naird finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces dubbed "Space Force." Eventually, Naird takes his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he's paired with an eccentric group of scientists and "Spacemen" that are tasked by the White House with getting American souls on the moon (again) in a hurry to achieve total space dominance. The series also stars John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake.
Space Force is set to run for 10-episodes and will begin streaming on May 29, 2020. The series looks like the perfect laugh at a time when we really need one. I'm a fan of Carell and look forward to him reteaming with The Office showrunner Greg Daniels on this project because that series is the gift that keeps on giving.
