Stopping Power goes

JoBloJoBlo

Just three weeks after Jan de Bont’s action flick STOPPING POWER ironically came to a screeching halt due to investor issues, the project is rolling forward once more thanks to a fresh injection of almighty dollars.

The $40 million movie stars John Cusack as a test pilot vacationing in Europe with his daughter and girlfriend (Melissa George). Often-evil actor Jason Isaacs steals his RV and kidnaps the youngster, forcing Cusack’s hero to commit various villainous deeds and ludicrously high-speed chases (including one “real-time” sequence that will last 50 minutes).

The film will shoot in Berlin, where Cusack will steer a vehicle through narrow streets at hazardous speed (but not enough to erase SPEED 2 from memory).
