Stranger Things 4 teaser confirms the return of a beloved character

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

If you want to go into the next season of Netflix's hit series / pop culture phenomenon Stranger Things completely SPOILER free… well, you not only shouldn't look at the rest of this article, you should probably stay away from the internet for the next year or so.

Netflix and Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers have made the unexpected decision to release a teaser trailer for the fourth season of Stranger Things that primarily exists just to confirm that David Harbour will indeed be back as Jim Hopper in the new season. Most of us expected Hopper to be back, and the final moments of the third season hinted that he was still around, but the last time we actually saw him he was in danger of being disintegrated.

The Duffer Brothers said in a statement,

We're excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it's not all good news for our 'American'; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human… and other.

Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything.

Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime, pray for the American.

We don't know exactly when Stranger Things season 4 will be reaching the Netflix streaming service, but TV Line hears that this one may consist of nine episodes, like season 2 did, which is one episode more than seasons 1 and 3 had.
