The young cast of Stranger Things better lock their doors because Freddy is coming for them! It has been announced that Robert Englund, who has portrayed horror mainstay Freddy Krueger across seven A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET films and one wrestling mash-up in FREDDY VS. JASON, has joined the cast of season four of Stranger Things.

Englund will be joining the show in a recurring capacity as Victor Creel, a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s. The horror legend is actually one of several new performers joining the cast of the upcoming fourth season. HARRY POTTER veteran Jamie Campbell Bower is on board in the series regular role of Peter Ballard, described as a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital. Additional series regulars include Eduardo Franco as Argle, a fun-loving stoner who works at Surfer Boy Pizza, and Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson, a metalhead who runs the local Dungeons & Dragon club called "The Hellfire Club."

Othe recurring additions to the cast include Tom Wlaschiha as Dimitri, a Russian prison guard who befriends Hopper (David Harbour), Nikolaj Djuriko as Yuri, a seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes and cold hard cash, Mason Dye as Jason Carver, a rich sports star whose perfect world begins to unravel in the face of a new evil, and Sherman Augustus as Lt. Colonel Sullivan, a no-nonsense man who believes he knows how to stop the evil invading Hawkins once and for all.

Netflix renewed Stranger Things for a fourth season in September 2019 when it also closed a major overall deal with the Duffer Brothers. The three-time Emmy nominee for Best Drama is one of Netflix’s most-watched shows, with Season 3 alone amassing 40.7 million household accounts in its first four days — more than any other Netflix film or series in that timeframe — and 64 million member households in the first four weeks. The series was in the midst of filming Season 4 when Netflix suspended film and TV production on March 13 in the face of the escalating coronavirus pandemic. The show resumed filming on September 28, 2020, in Georgia.

What do YOU think of the new cast additions? Will YOU be watching season four of Stranger Things?
