The Strangers

Like a good stripper, THE STRANGERS was lean and tight and superficially exciting. But did it have enough meat for a second dance?

They’re going for it anyway, following up the domestic terror with more from the masked trio of home invaders. Original writer-director Bryan Bertino has been working on a new story (which supposedly finds the enigmatic interlopers taunting the denizens of a trailer park), but according to Bloody Disgusting, there’s a new director in the running — French music vid/commercial director Laurent Briet.

Briet also worked on special effects for THE RING remake. THE STRANGERS sequel may begin filming this summer, but it’s unknown who may return from the original.
