Sundance: David Bruckner’s The Night House with Rebecca Hall sells for $12M

VHS and THE RITUAL director David Bruckner's new nightmare THE NIGHT HOUSE (READ OUR VIEW HERE) with Rebecca Hall just held it's World Premiere at the Sundance film festival. And already, Variety reports that Searchlight Pictures is closing in on the worldwide distribution rights to the supernatural thriller.

The deal is reportedly valued at roughly $12 million.

SUPER DARK TIMES writers Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski penned the film, which centers on 

a widow named Beth who is reeling from shock over her husband’s sudden death in the pair’s lakeside home. After a series of disturbing dreams become increasingly real, Beth unearths a ghostly presence in her home that vanishes during the day. An ongoing investigation through the house (and their marriage) turns up strange secrets and mystery she must solve.

Directed by David Bruckner and produced by David S. Goyer, Keith Levine, and John Zois from a screenplay written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, THE NIGHT HOUSE stars Rebecca Hall, Sarah Goldberg, Stacy Martin, Evan Jonigkeit, and Vondie Curtis-Hall.
