It sounds like everything is coming up Milhouse for David Goyer after striking one hell of a solid film deal. According to Deadline, Village Roadshow Pictures has inked a multi-year, first-look deal with David S. Goyer’s Phantom Four Films to source, develop, and produce feature films.
Per the deal, Phantom Four will produce a remake of the cult classic psychological thriller The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. Based on the novel of the same name, the story revolves around a college professor named Peter Proud, who begins experiencing flashbacks of an earlier life. Drawn to a mysterious place he’s never been to, Proud soon finds his previous incarnation’s wife. Sean Dunkirk will write and direct with Daniel Ostroff, Michael Gaeta, and Alison Rosenzweig also producing.

Phantom Four recently released The Night House, directed by David Bruckner, and will soon unleash the long-delayed horror film Antlers. Also in the works for Phantom Four is a reimagining of Hellraiser.
A film version of The Reincarnation of Peter Proud was directed by J. Lee Thompson and released in 1975. The adaptation of Max Ehrlich’s novel starred Michael Sarrazin, Jennifer O’Neil, and Margot Kidder.
