Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's been a little while since we talked the upcoming Zac Efron as Ted Bundy film EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE from director Joe Berlinger. In fact, the last we heard was back in March when we passed along word the much-anticipated flick had officially wrapped production.

But today we have a big update. Yes, today we have not only official confirmation that the film will World Premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, but the star shared an all-new look at himself as the one and only Bundy over on Twitter, and so did Sundance. You can check out the pics above and below for double the Efron Bundy goodness and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think!

Here's the synopsis for those of you who may have forgotten over the past few months:

Told through the perspective of Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy's longtime girlfriend who went years denying the accusations against Bundy, but ultimately turned him into the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly murders.

EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE is directed by Joe Berlinger from a script by Michael Werwie and stars John Malkovich, Lily Collins, Kaya Scodelario, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Jim Parsons, Metallica's James Hetfield, and Zac Efron as Ted Bundy. Once again, the film will be holding its World Premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Bring it on!
