Well, looks as though it’s not going to be all homeless Michael Myers and Scout Taylor-Compton screaming like a banshee in the world of Rob Zombie this year. That’s because his long-awaited foray into twisted animated territory is finally getting a release. I am, of course, talking about THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO. According to DVD Active, the flick will hit DVD/Blu-Ray on SEPTEMBER 22 of this year.
SUPERBEASTO is about a washed-up luchador who makes it his mission to battle the forces of the supernatural. As the heroic El Superbeasto (voice of Tom Papa) advances ever closer to his ultimate confrontation with the diabolical Dr. Satan (Paul Giamatti), each adventure becomes more surreal and terrifying than the last.
The voice cast includes Tom Papa, Paul Giamatti, Sheri Moon Zombie (of course), Bill Mosely (of course), Sid Haig (of course), Danny Trejo (of course), Ken Foree (of course), Dee Wallace (of course), Clint Howard (of course), and Rosario Dawson!
The specs are unknown at the moment, but I’m sure you can expect a whole butt-load of behind-the-scenes footage, as well as commentaries, trailers, etc. We’ll let you know what’s what when we do!
