Survive Jason with your friends at this Arizona campground

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Have you ever wanted to see if you could survive a night against the one and only Jason Voorhees from the FRIDAY THE 13TH series? Well, now you'll have your chance as we just got word that On Pins and Needles hosts a terrifying live-action survival game at different locations throughout the year dubbed F13: Survive Jason Nights.

NOTE: You have to be 18 years or older to participate in the game.

This event requires you to solve puzzles to escape Jason with each event including three 25-minute games held throughout the night. In each game, 8 players can team up against Jason … or you can try surviving alone. The first game usually starts around dusk, and if you decide to play, you will be able to use one weapon at a time to defend yourself against Jason. If your game goes into overtime, the play area becomes smaller. Overtime usually adds an extra 10 minutes to the game.

Here's the rundown on the event via its official Facebook page:

F13: Survive Jason is a horror fan’s nerd dream. After watching the series, the question inevitably arises: if I was in this situation, could I survive Jason? We all like to think we can. Avoid the horror movie tropes. Run instead of walk. Don’t investigate that sound in the dark. I decided to put that to the test. The creation of this game is to let people have the experience of testing their mettle against one of the baddest slashers in the genre, Jason Voorhees. In a safe, real world scenario, players get to step into Camp Crystal Lake and attempt to escape from an unstoppable, unkillable force. If you win, you deserve a prize! If you get caught, well.. you’re just another Jason victim. Hopefully your death is memorable. With a fantastic team working to set up, create, and execute, we hope that everyone who participates has the same thrill that we get.

Tickets are $25 per person and it includes a meal! Usually, there are two events each month throughout the year. Tickets for September and October are already sold out, but the dates for the November and December events will be released soon. See further details HERE and HERE

Now I don't know about you but if I lived in Arizona I would all but HAVE to hit this campground up. But I don't live in Arizona. So, you know, weak. But that said, here's hoping the powers behind the scenes of this event read this and bring their game to Gainesville, Fl. where I live and where – yep – there is a Camp Crystal Lake just down the road. How perfect would THAT be? Bring it on!
