Sylvester Stallone: family reality show in the works from Paramount Plus

Stallone family reality show

Move over Kardashians because the Stallone family is about to take the reality show genre by storm. It looks like the Stallone spent the summer quietly filming a new reality series, which is set to premiere on Paramount Plus. Indeed, Sylvester Stallone himself announced the show via a video posted to his brother Frank’s Instagram page. He also said it comes from Bunim Murray, the company behind Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Real World and many more.

Check out the post:

While Sly didn’t reveal much else about the show, Frank Stallone revealed on his page that he would be featured in it along with the rest of the family. Presumably, this would include Sly’s daughters, Sophia & Sistine, who host an extremely popular podcast called Unwaxed, Scarlet Stallone, and their mother, Jennifer Flavin. While Sly and Jennifer separated in August, it seems like the two have since reconciled, and in the post, Stallone seemed enthusiastic about the show, which he said he would be “popping in and out of.”

“I want to spend time with my family, so what’s better,” asked Stallone in the IG post. This comes along at a busy time for Sly, with him about to launch his new show, Tulsa King, on Paramount Plus, coming from the man behind Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan. Fun fact – last year Stallone himself gave us the scoop about the show while promoting Rocky v Drago.

While some may scoff at the idea of the Stallone family doing an unscripted show, it can’t be denied that the genre has become extremely popular over the years. Sistine and Sophia are social media icons in their own right, and the Unwaxed podcast is actually a pretty good listen, so the show should be quite entertaining. If anything, it’ll be interesting to see what the always-outspoken Frank Stallone will be up to in the show. There was a great documentary made about his career last year called Stallone: Frank, that is, which offered some fascinating insight into the dynamic he has with his brother, with the two having stayed loyal to each other despite nearly half a century in Hollywood.

While reality TV typically isn’t my thing, speaking as a Stallone fan, I’ll be watching this when it hits Paramount Plus, presumably this fall.
